Italian Tragedy

Italy, country of history, country of love, country of great people. But today, Italy is country of sadness. Earthquake killed many people… I can not be immune on this tragedy. I think that nobody can. Just put yourself in Italian’s shoes now. It is pretty dark, don’t you think? Some of them have lost family, friends, lovers, everything… They will live with that pain until the end.

Nature is unpredictable. I do not know if it was possible to predict the earthquake. I only know that more than 200 people have been killed and more than 1000 injured. Today funerals are held... Today Italy marks Day of Mourning for quake victims. 

I do not know about you, but I really like Italians and I think that we are very similar. We have similar demeanor, we are crazy about football, and we have beautiful women, handsome men, too… I have met many Italians in my life and I can call them dear friends. Today, I sympathize with their pain. It hurts me really bad…

I have seen on TV child’s bicycle, other toys… Crying mothers and fathers… Dead children… Oh, my God, children! Children are the wealth of the world. We shouldn’t see them dead… 

And young people… Dead young people… They never will go to parties, see world changing… I only can ask myself over and over again – WHY.

In each child I see life. In each girl or boy I see life. In each man or woman I see life. That is why this tragedy affects me a lot. 

I appeal on each of you who read this blog to give your best and help Italian people in any way you can. It doesn’t matter if you will give them support by words or you will organize some humanitarian help. But, I kindly ask you, do not be silent. Please, do not just watch this tragedy and say “it happens”. Please, everyone, do something!

I know that I will do my best. 

Nature is unpredictable. Tomorrow we can be in similar position…
